2006 F-250 4wd Brake Noise

Lately whenever I push on the brake pedal, I hear a single metallic sound click which seems to come from the left front wheel area.. Once I let off the brake pedal and drive some more and then press the brake pedal I again hear this same click noise again. It only happens once each time mthe brake is pressed and the truck is moving.. Ideas on what to look for before I take it some where to have them look at it and try to drill into my pocketbook.. Thanks in advance

Lug nuts could be loose on that wheel. Don't ask how I know. Could be a worn out suspension component.

A Long Shot but....

We pulled the tire and pad cover.. everything liiked fine..nothing broken and 75% pads.. While the wheel / tire was off, I rotated the rotor as it was loose and I heard exactly the same noise I had been hearing.. The rotor had a little rotational play on the hub lugs when the wheel / lug nuts were removed.. In the past I have experienced a slight viberation at certain speeds but was never resolved by FpMoCo technicians.. Wondering if the brake rotor should fit tighter on the lugs than it does..thus when braking, it moved slightly.. wondering what the clearance should be between the hub lugs / rotor mounting holes as shown in my picture.. Just a shot in the dark... All lug nuts when reinstalled were torqued to specs..
