F-250 Steering Experience

Prior to buying a 2016 F-250 2 days ago, my experience with pickups was a Mazda B2000 and a Toyota Tacoma. During the first couple of days of driving the 250 I noticed that it doesn't straighten out completely when coming out of a slow turn. Some steering adjustment is needed. Is this an example of "drives like a truck?"

Welcome to the forum, Dave_Yuhas; congrats on the new rig! Since you're concerned, I'd get this into the hands of your dealership. Be sure to take your tech on a test drive so you can demonstrate the steering issue. Additionally, I can assist by looping in your regional customer service manager. PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll push this up the chain.

Hi Dave, welcome to the forum. DO follow Crystal's advice. This is something the dealership should be able to correct while the truck is under warranty.

From your description, it sounds to me like it needs a castor adjustment, but I'm hardly an expert.

Your ball joints might be too tight. I've seen defective ball joints do this.

Either way, get it to the shop... steering is one of those things that you don't want to mess with.
