If you're going to put a power sliding rear window in, they're already prone to leaking, so I'd only do OEM. Rips in a seat are a really easy fix. Mine has a small tear and did when I bought it at 74k (it's a 2006). The 250s shouldn't have any more of an issue than any other truck, just a lot of fat boys sliding in and out and they're a little higher up, so most have the potential for a little more wear.

The window is something I'll think about. I was looking at prices for parts. It wouldn't be cheap. Maybe I'll just go with a manual slider if I want one. One other thing I was looking at is the radio. The one I might be getting has a single disc player with no cassette. I know 6 disc players are an option. They don't have an aux input for something other that Sirius/XM though. Double DIN players with a 6-disc changer built in are almost as hard to find as finding a needle in a haystack though.

Sometimes it's best to go aftermarket for a radio, even if they look a little out of place. I don't like having one sometimes, but it was almost necessary for what I needed from my HU when my stock one crapped out

For a head unit, go look at crutchfield.com. Their site is outstanding for determining fit, and they have all kinds of installation kits and wire harness adapters. You may pay more than you would elsewhere, but they make up for it with support. They will even give you advice over the phone.

^x2 one thousand times over. Best company I've ever dealt with, period. All the install diagrams and kits, and basic wire harnesses, and tech support are all free. You save money with them because it's THAT easy to install all the stuff yourself. Calling their techs actually helps a lot and is more effective than I ever thought over-the-phone advice could be.
