Need some help with which rear leaf springs.

I ordered the 8" Rize 4link front lift for my 06 F250 Fx4 and a 2.5in Leveling kit. Should i order 6" or 8" rough country rear leaf springs. I dont want the back to be higher than the front, i dont mind if the front is a little higher than the rear though. I also orderd 38x13.5r24 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

In my experience with DAMN springs (they are a huge pain!!) Mine have always come out tall. I ordered 10" leaf packs from national and ended up with 12-14" of lift, leaving me to need to pull leafs out. If i was to do it again I would order them for 8-9" of lift instead of 10".

I'd go with 8" leaf packs. Based on my experiences with deaver springs the 4" springs I bought from them gave me 6" of lift....The nationals were ordered at 10" and gave 12"+... if they are too short then you will gain some height when you shim the axle and you still can put in a small block (1" or less likely), but since you will likely need to shim the axle that will probably bump it up enough. With the 6" packs, assuming they are going to overlift, you would probably need a block plus the shim to compensate.

This is just based on my experience, so hopefully it makes since, for all I know I could be the only one with these 'overlift' issues. Really its up to you

Really I'm not sure how much RC springs are but you might contact Ben at National springs and see what they can do, there springs run about 1200 OTD shipped. Again, just depends on how much RC springs are..

Hey Thanks FX4LIFE.. Its pretty sad when i cant get anyone from a powerstroke forum to answer my question but sure enough i can always rely on the f150 Forum. lol. But ya i figure with just the 8" front kit and 6" springs i would sit level, so with 8" front and 2.5" leveling kit and 8" rear springs i would be somewhere around .5" higher in the front right? Or does the factory 2in block i have in the back that goes under the spring as a bump stop get factored in to. Dang i dont want the rear to be higher because i just ordered the 8" springs because the 6" were on back order.

You should be fine, you got the Rize 8" kit and the 2.5" level on top of that right? If my scenarios were to play out for you those 8" springs would net you around 10" of lift, this is if you have my luck with springs over-lifting. With these 8" springs you will throw the blocks out and just have straight leafs, UNLESS they net you only 8" of lift, which is possible, then just throw the blocks back in for the 10" of lift.

I'm pretty confident you will be higher in the front, which is what you wanted and what I prefer myself, however it might not be that noticeable (backwards rake that is) hopefully dead on level is okay too

Ya supposebly they are getting there facility built and have run into some problems and also one of there machines that mass produces these lifts broke so there trying to figure that out. They said atleast 7-10weeks before i would see my lift. So instead i went with a Pure Performance 8" .
