Bilstein shocks...

For those of you who are contemplating Bilstein shocks but are worried about the price... Ohmygoddoit. Put them on this weekend. Truck rides soooooo much better... Much better than with the Monroes that were on it. Put the HD series on. The ride is firm, but not harsh. Bumps are much smoother, although you still feel them. Towed a light load today (20' flatbed with light junk on it) and it did great. Smoother than ever. I'm very very pleased with these.

Which Bilsteins did you buy? There are a couple different models available.

Went with the HD shocks (yellow). The 5100 series (at least the ones I could find) were for lifted trucks.

Cool, thanks. Does a 2" spacer count as a lift? If so, I might consider the 5100's. If not, then I will do the HD's.

Mine has a leaf added up front and one or two in the rear and I still went with the HDs... I think you'll be fine. I think the 5100 shocks are for trucks with 3-4" of lift.
