Just stopped by my Ford dealer this morning on the way home from work, and I took some pictures with my Blackberry. I thought you guys might be interested. Enjoy!

Nice job taking pics. One pic of the sticker is enough sticker shock for me though.

Thanks! Yeah, $61,805 for an F250! Not an F350. Not an F450. An F250 with only a 10,000 GVRW...is insane. Of course, it is a Lariat with the Lariat Ultimate Package and FX4 Package with a diesel. I really think it has every option.

It's urea, basiclly bird crap. Look up "MB Bluetec". Mercedes Benz has been doing it for a few years. It gets sprayed into the exhaust to scrub oxides of nitrogen from diesel exhaust. The tank has to be refilled about once every oil change and the stuff costs about $35 a gallon.

How many gallons do these things take?

Where do you get it at to put it in your truck?

Here's an article about the Chrysler system, but I'd assume Ford will be very similar:

I just went back up there. The $62k truck was sold last night. The guy paid cash. He owned a construction company. Anyway, while I was there, he took me for a ride in an XLT screw with a diesel. It definitely seemed peppy, as he raced around the parking lot at high speeds. He even broke the tires loose a couple times. They also have a 6.2L gas truck on the lot, MSRP is $50k. He said that the 6.2L is amazing. They sold a Raptor with a 6.2L, and he said that the thing screamed.

According to the salesman, it holds 5 gallons and should be "topped off" at every oil change. He said that it costs $12 a gallon, which is not too bad.
