Something strange happened
I got a call from my father today. He went into his shop to get something out of his 2002 F350 7.3L, he opened the door and both his PHP Gryphon and trailer brake control where blinking. So he put the key in the ignition and there was nothing, the battery was dead.
The truck has been sitting in his heated shop for about 3 weeks and the the batterys are only about 1 year old. I am thinking that one of the batterys must have a dead cell or something, because they have been charging for almost 6 hours and still are not fully charged. But that still doesn't explain the reason that they Gryphon and brake control were blinking. Has anyone else has something like this happen?
Thanks alot!

You have all kinds of live systems on these trucks. Security, PCM and the Edge itself for example. You can't let them set for 3 weeks without draining the battery.

When the juice gets low, they do all kinds of weird things. I'm sure there is an explanationfor it, but I just know they do weird things.

, thanks Bluejay! I guess that I am not fully awake yet... I know that dad had the batterys on the charger for 6 hours yesterday at 10amps, and then last night he said that he was going to put them on a 2 amp trickle charge overnight and see what happens.
When my batteries are low/close to dead, my Edge flashes as I crank. Can't comment on the brake controller, it doesn't turn on until I hit the brakes.

Dad ended up taking the truck into the dealership to have everything checked out. The batterys and alternator both checked out fine. And now a few days later the batterys are still holding a charge. So who knows, maybe the truck just sat for too long, but I still find it strange that the Gryphon and brake control where both blinking. Oh well, all seems to be good.
