engine light

My engine symbol light came on, what does this usually mean?

I have a 2006 F350

It means you should like, pop the hood and see if the motor is still there.

You're going to get no answers because this is a pointless question. It's like asking what do you do when the low fuel light comes on.

stop at autozone have them ck the code to see whats wrong.
some times we just don't understand ?

Engine symbol light

C...I assume your Q. got answered someplace else? But, when SES (engine symbol) light turns on its possible a DTC (diagnostic code) was set. Maybe you already did scan & found out as already mentioned

FWIW..Been awhile since my last visit. But, really surprised you just now got 2 legit replies.

Well, it does help when you list the engine type. While it may have diesel in the title, all superduty gents hang out here. As such we sometimes get gassers asking questions. If you had a gasoline engine I would say take it to autozone, and be prepared for an 02 sensor. If it were a diesel I would say take it to autozone and be prepared for an Exhaust Back Pressure sensor.

turns out it was a fuel injection sensor went bad

No offense coyoteslover... I'm glad you got the problem fixed... however I got a laugh out of Zach's response...

Zach, I got a good one:

My truck says F150, if I change it to say F250, does it automatically make it a Super Duty?
