Warning: Do not put general grabber at2 on f250 & up!

I had a 4 new General Grabber AT2 LT275/70/18 tires on my 08 F250 4x4 and they SUCK. They roll so bad I thought I was gonna die a few times. I even put 80 psi in them from the 65 Dunn put in.... the rims move in the tires if you move the steering wheel left/right and the sidewalls are JUNK.

I had a set of Good YEar Silent Armors on before and Im going back to them or try the new Dura Tracs.... atleast the silent armors handled superb.

Dunn has a guarantee that if you dont like the tires they will give you different ones for free or you pay the difference if you upgrade.

The Grabber AT2 are NOT SAFE for the F250s, atleast 08+....

I never liked General Tires, & never would by them! I took off the crappy Americraps which came with my truck at 11,000 miles, I really don't even know how I lasted that long!

Why dont you go with the michelin ltx m/s instead of the junky goodyear. The michelins will last you 60-80000 miles easy and have a awesome ride and the are quite. Your doing good to get 40000 miles out of a goodyear it if it dont seperate before then

dont put on super swamper iroks either these diesels are to heavy for them and the side walls will split from the weight learned that the hard way and got maybe 20k out of a brand new set of them. put on cooper zeon tires and have been rolling on them for 70k + now and they still have good tread on them.

why do the 3/4 tons and up seem to be getting such good tread life? is it due to the harder compound tires?

F250 General Grabber at2

Hi Roger;
I just had the General at2 installed on my 2003 Ford 250 Two wheel drive.
I have experienced the exact problems you post about. This is a saftey issue!
To bad I didn't find your post first. I have made contact with a woman at NHTSB named JACKIE 1 888-327-4236. Maybe you could call and say me2.
THANKS LEE40

When I bought my truck in 06 with 55k on it, it still had the OEM Americraps on it. First time I drove it in the rain, they handled so badly I went over to Sam's and got a set of Long Trail TA's on it. 60k later, they are still only half worn out and they handle very nicely on wet pavement.
