Post Deisel mileage

Ford F250 Crew Cab Year 2000 has given decreasing mileage from 19-22 mpg down to 15.8 mpg over about one month regardless of city or highway driving. 9500 miles on the engine. Any suggestions about cause or ways to improve mileage?

Unhappy

These are the only things that cause my mileage to go down: towing, leadfoot driving, or bad fuel. I'm guessing your driving habits are the same and you're not towing, have you been getting fuel at the same place?? Also, I wouldn't think this would change your mpg figures that much, but is it time to do an oil change??? My best advise would be to tell you to post this over on the diesel board, probably someone over there has had this happen to them. www.ford-diesel.com Do post back here if you find out what the problem is. (sorry your first post here and I direct you somewhere else but as long as you find a fix, right!!) Welcome to the Ford board
