I just talked to dad and he did end up buying the truck. The one thing that really made him decide to buy the 03 7.3L vs. ordering a 2010 6.4L was today when he went to another dealership to get a 2010 priced out and the owner of the dealership said that they will not order any trucks with the 6.4L!!! He told the old man that he would rather loose a sale than sell someone a great truck with a POS motor. He said that about 50% of the 08's and 09's that he has sold have been back with problems, so now he just refuses to order the 6.4's.

He also gave dad a couple of phone numbers of guys that are looking for nice clean used diesels.
