Pink Shocks

So my little lady friend has an 03 f250 with a fabtech 6inch lift on 35's, well she asked me about her and I putting pink shocks on her truck. Well at first I thought easy, just get pink boots, but she wants the WHOLE shock pink. Does anyone know any place that has pink shocks? I told her the possibility of painting the shock, but she is worried about it looking cheap. Any tips on how to make the shock look nice if we paint them??

If you can get a shock that can be disassembled maybe powder coating is an option...(not sure how elctrostatic applications would fair with a nitrogen filled shock)

I wouldnt recomend powder coating them because you have to heat them up to 250 to 300 degrees to get the powder to bond. I could see the shocks exploding in the oven when the Nitrogen expands due to the heat but I may be wrong.

Spray paint and pink boots are going to be your best bet.

I saw a "how it's made" episode of shocks at the bilstein plant where they painted them yellow (might have been monroe) and IIRC they were painted after assembly an they mentioned a static paint application process (sounded like powdercoating). Maybe try to look for the episode and learn more. Or the easy way out, rattle can.

Yup! that's what I figured ~ that's why I was thinking about a shock that can be disassembled and then after the powder coat be re-assembled and charged..

Typical Chevy/GMC!

I guess it's alright...I mean, I remember when day-glo pink was the fashion for swim trunks in the early 90's :o
