wheel bearings question

Hey guys, today my truck started making a scraping noise while driving coming from the front end, it was like the dust shield was hitting the rotor but it wasnt, i drove it home and when i was in the drive way it wouldnt move when in drive or reverse unless i gave it some gas, then when it did move it would click real hard, 1 2 or 3 times, like something is binding up. I think its coming from the right front. I took the tire off and realized that my ball joints are now really bad, i can move the assembly pretty easy. My question is, could this of cause the bearings to go bad and would that be this noise/resistance I just got today? Im going to change the ball joints tomorrow and see what everything looks like but has anyone had this happen or know what i am going to find? I just want to get it done tomorrow if possible so I need all the info i can get. Thanks in advance, Jason 2000 f250 4x4

when you had the front jacked up did you spin the wheel? was it smooth and quiet or rough? that should tell you if the unit bearings are bad...

Yep, spin the wheel. You'll hear it. You'll also notice a bunch of play in the bearing.
