Question 2006 f350 6.0

I am looking at an 06 F350 6.0 that has 125k on it and has been well matained and has seen mostly highway miles towing a trailer. What should I look for and ask about on this truck? Getting an OASIS report isnt a problem and I am going to have the dealer get me one if I take the next step in looking at this truck.

Thanks
Dave

I know a few guys who have an '06 6.0L (one has 75k and the other is near 90k) - no probs so far. They both run good...pretty much like new. If everything checks out it may be a good deal if the price is right....Good luck! I am sure there will be some actual owners that may chime in, but I'd figger to let you know for an 'outsiders' POV!

Thanks for the reply Pagnew. I am going to get the dealer to run the OASIS for me in the next few days.

I just traded in my 06 F250 6.0 with 76000 miles on it.
Never went to the shop, NOTHING... just for oil changes.
I was P'Oed because I bought the extended warrenty.

I ran an SCT Xcal2 programmer on it for two years too...

I don't want to scare you away but I have an '06 and have had replaced:
#5 injector
oil cooler
egr cooler
egr valve
hpop line
turbo charger

and I currently have a surging problem that hasn't been diagnosed yet.

Even an '06 is not immune from the typical 6.0 problems. I'd be a bit worried about it being out of warranty before you have time to put some miles on it yourself.

Check to see if any filters have been changed recently. If not, that could be a pretty big expense right after buying it.

I talked with the dealer at lunch it was purchased at the same dealer it was traded at. I also had him run the OASIS report on it while I was there and the only things on it were a broken passanger door handle and a small oil leak from the gasket on the drain plug. I am going to drive it on Monday when it comes out of the body shop they are fixing a crunched cab corner from turning to tight with a 5er.
