F-250 Sub Box

Quick question, I have a 2002 F-250 and already have pretty much everything to make it thump. Only thing I need is a box, but a LOUD box. I have 2 10s L5 powered by an MTX 7801D. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is the best sub for my truck? I really like bass and want it to be as loud as possible. Anybody got the measurements for the f-250? Would I have to move the seat or do anything to it? Thanx in advance...

Since you don't mention which cab your truck has (extended or crew), it is extremely difficult for any of us to suggest a box. I don't know the mounting depth of an L5, but if they are too deep, you could always get shallow mount 10's. I have a pair of shallow mount Rockford Fosgate subs in an MTX Thunderform box under my back seat, and it sounds pretty good.

Ive got a box from supercrewsound.com not the one freaky has but the carpeted built one... it was cheaper lol. I have 2 MTX 10 aluminum cone thunder 4000 subs and an alpine 500wrms 1000w max amp.

I think mounting the amp behind the rear seat is the best idea.... I actually ziptied mine and my 1.5 farad capacitor INSIDE the rear seat metal frameworks nad it fit PERFECT and doesnt move or overheat the seat at all. Its like its made for it, plus I can take the amp out by removing the rear seat.....easier to adjust it! extra 1 ft of cable is all....

The sub box is like 10.25 inches wide (the sub is like DAMN near as wide) and only like 6 inches tall..... the space in an extended cab is soooo small.... Ive had MANY people say WHERE ARE YOUR SUBS/AMP? They are almost completely hidden and its BIG BASS for SMALL SETUP!

Don't let anyone tell you that you can't install whatever you wish in there. I have an '06 crewcab with 2 Kicker 10" CVR behind the seat and the amp mounted under the foldable floor (which I was also told couldn't be done). I also have the power sliding glass. I have one Pioneer 600 watt 4-channel amp running the whole system and it is LOUD! Both of the subs are mounted on the driver's side all the way at the bottom with a port exiting the passenger side on the floor of the box. I moved the seat forward 3/4" and put spacers under the front bolts to put a slight tilt in the seat (which also gave me the clearance to mount the amp on the floor and reinstall the folding floor). When I finished, I drove straight to the audio shop to show them that what I was asking for could be done, but since they said it couldn't they wouldn't see any more of my funds spent there. Don't ever be afraid to tackle something yourself, its a great opportunity to learn something and you get something exactly the way you wanted it as a bonus!
