...and say goodbye to the warranty on a 60 thousand dollar truck! Hey I am all for it and youre going to see alot better mileage, be able to pay for that upgrade pretty quickly with 5 dollar a gallon diesel. Some guys running that Spartan tune have seen 18+ mpg. Not to mention a heck of alot more power.

Thats what the tech says, but ultimately its the service writer or Ford corporate that has the say as to whether or not the warranty is void. I wouldn't take it to the bank that your warranty is safe just off what your friend told you.

Dont laugh im new to diesels.. What do you guys mean by the DPF??? I have an 08 and I want to do the 5' Magnaflow kit. I notice it has no muffler anymore.. my F250 is 10,000GVWR which also means I do not have to go through state inspection. Please explain what the DPF is.

DPF is diesel particulate filter. It catches the soot and all thats in it. Then when your truck goes into regen it heats it up to burn it all up.

I believe thats right, someone correct me if im wrong please.

I have to agree with this. If it is covered with the warranty I would do this in a heartbeat. But this product hasn't been out enough just yet for my liking. I like the so called fuel mileage but if warranty doesn't cover something that breaks I would be screwed for now much it cost to fix a deisel over the gas motor.

I own a Trucking Company and unless something changes Cali has already passed a law about the DPF on Big trucks. If you don't have one Jan 1 2010 you can't drive in Cali. Not sure if that is going to do anything to the Light Duty trucks. These things are very expensive, I mean the DPF not the truck. Well that too. Anyway to retro my big truck is $13K To do a Refer unit on a trailer it is like $4K. Not sure if you can remove them and sell them off the Fords though.

It loses some power and makes more noise. When you put the truck in park and take your foot off the brake, the RPM's go to 1200-1300.
