Hey guys, i'm venturing over from the Lightning forum to ask a question for a friend. He has a 2002 F-250 4WD that's in need of tires. What's the biggest mud tire that he can run?? The wheels are stock, 16X8 i'm pretty sure. Thanks in advance for your opinions

 

The stock wheels are 16x7, not 8s. The largest tire he can run is a 285/75/16. A 305/70/16 will fit, but he'll need to upgrade to 8" wide rims.

 

i have seen 315\75\16s on the stock wheel. it is not advised by tire companies, but i have seen it.

And you'll wear out the centers of the tires in 30K miles or less. Not cool when you're dropping $800 on tires.
