Front end leveling
I'm sure most people won't agree with this, but here's my plan.
I bought a 99 that has 35x12.5x16.5 on Weld Rims with a 4" front lift. I don't want it set-up like this, so I'm going back to stock rims, and probably 265 times. For the suspension, I want to get the 4" leaf's out and either go back to stock or get a 2" leveling lift. Plus I want to put new shocks on all 4 locations to get rid of some of the bounce.
Question is, for the 2" leveling lift I have heard 3 options
1) 2" leafs
2) stock leafs with helper leafs on-top
3) stock leafs that I guess have a bracketed lift where they are mounted
Which one would people recommend?

I wouldn't do any of the 3.
Option number one is gonna be fairly expensive if you can even find a set of 2" lift springs. My guess is that 4" is the smallest you'll find anyone makes.
Option 2 won't lift anything, just give you more load capacity and I really wouldn't want to run that on the front.
Option 3 you'll have trouble finding anything less than 3" in a spring hanger lift.
Now is your truck a late 99 or early 99? Is it an F250 or F350? Depending what you have you could either have a 2" or 4" rear block. The 4" was used in all early 99 trucks and 99.5-04 F350 trucks. If you have the 2" block you can put the factory 4" block in the rear.
For the front there are 2 options I suggest. You can either get yourself a set of X code front springs or a Donahoe mini spring kit. The X codes are the factory snow plow package springs and have the highest GVW rating. This makes the front end sit higher than the others. A set of X codes and 4" blocks makes the truck sit level. The other option is a set of Donahoe Mini Spring Kit. Its sort of like a block for the front. Now its not a traditional block, but does the same end result. It is a minature spring pack consisting of about 5 or 6 leaves thats about 18" long that sits under your existing springs. The length does not allow the spring pack to get spit out like a block would. Donahoe sells these kits for around $200.
If you want to see the before and after with the X codes you can see mine when I did the install. The rear was untouched and is still the factory 4" block. The tires are 265/75/16 MTRs on the stock rims, so its similar to the setup you're looking at.
