OK So I was searching around and maybe I am not asking the right question to the search gods. So I am asking now.

Has anyone here installed a Liquid Harmonic Damper (balancer) to there truck? if so what is the benefit really, I have read all the literature that goes with it etc. Only about 14 Hp and 30 ftlb trq. I also hear that they smooth out the truck etc. So that is the real thing I am looking for, Longer engine life and smoother running diesel.

My buddy has a new Duramax, man that thing is smooth and quiet. I know my truck will never be that but a little quieter would be nice.
