I have read that you can unhook the ERG Valve and the truck will run better. Is this true? The 6.0 diesel ERG Valve will carbon up and the motor will not run at it's peak.

 

I've read all ya need to is a few wide open throttle assults to clear out yer carbon.

I think you willl get a CEL by unplugging it, haven't tried it myself though. I have heard of guys getting a second one and plugging it in as a dummy to get around the CEL. When you unplug it make sure it is already in a closed position. I have mine forced closed/turned off as part of my SCT program.
