There is hardly any difference between 2006 and 2007 F250s so on a budget the 2006 is the way to go!

There's really nothing different about the 06 vs 07 SD. They've invested all the money for the soon to be released 08. Incentives on 06's, in my area are only 1K more, with 4K on an 06. Selection of 06's in NH is pretty bad, only the trucks with option combinations that weren't great. 07 selections aren't much better, as the new 08's are just around the corner.

One thing most people don't consider when buying the left over is that your going to take more of a hit when it's time to trade on your next truck. If your one who replaces trucks every 3 or 4 years, as I do, buying the 07 makes more sense. Consider, in 2010, the 07 is a 3 year old truck vs the 06 at 4. The trade difference at that point will likely outweigh the differences you can save now on the 06.

Me, I'm in the same boat. I just sold my 03 F150 and am looking at a replacement. I hopefully will have an 07 in my driveway in the next few days. The question is, will it be a Super Duty or another 150, but then again, maybe I'll test drive the newly redesigned Silverado. Too many choices.....

Hope this helps

Because I drive alot miles I am going to lease this truck and I am not sure I will be happy with a diesel. But I want to try the diesel for towing my boat, my F150 5.4 kind of dogs when towing the boat.

If you go 06, make sure it is a job#2 so it has the revised heads with the thicker 10mm head bolts (search 'commonized' engine on thedieselstop.com for all the differences), as opposed to the 8mm ones. Head gasket failures are all too common on the 6.0's, especially if a tuner is a consideration.

06 and 07 are the same except on the 07 you can get the lariat highline or outlaw package 2008 comes out early next year with a great new style www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/2008superduty and the 2008 is going to have a 6.4 l diesel instead of the 6.0 l
