I want to put a CB radio in my 2005 F350 Diesel and install two antennas no my mirror. Is there an antenna for a plastic mirror?

I mounted my CB at the very bottom of the dash in the middle, just above the floor. I use the JC Whitney hidden cb antenna box that uses your existing radio antenna. I'm not out for distance, just highway chatter.

I removed my console and I have a Prodigy brake controller there now. I can't find a mount to put it on the hump and face up so I can see it when I drive. I hope there is someone out there that has this set up. When I get this done I have to get an antenna.

I see your issue, I have the split front bech seat so I had plenty of room. However, I have just ordered the overhead storage console from Ford so I can copy off of 04 Red Lariat's truck where he mounted the cb in the face of that console. My truck did not come with that set up, but will soon be here.

I like that idea! Thats what my dump truck at work has. I don't want to use floor space. I hope it works out for you please let me know how you like it and what to look out for.

Mirror mount is only gonna work with the old metal frame swing out mirrors.

Man up, don't be afraid, and mount on the roof.

I was looking a a no ground plain antenna for the mirrors. Did you mount it on the roof or did you use a magnet?

I put mine up in the overhead storage and use a glass mount antenna.

Where did you get that overhead storage mount? How is your reception with that antenna?

The overhead storage is standard on the king ranch I think.

The glass mount antenna is all I have ever used, and it seems to work decent.

Hidden CB Whips

I have a 99 Superduty and I don't want to run the dual purpose fm antenna. I have a 4 ft. Diesel fiberglass whip right now and I was wondering if there was anywhere I could lay it sideways and have enough reception to hear anything if I was near the highway or across town from a friend. I don't want it to be noticeable because I think it would look dumb on my truck.

Thanks

Mitch

Look at the trucks with the antenna mounter in the bed and you will see that when you do a good Job installing it the results look good. They make all types of mounting systems. I have gotten allot of photos on the forms sent to me do a search and you will be surprised in the end results.

I ordered a Left Side Hood Antenna Mount for a F350. You use existing holes so I will not have to drill anything.Has anyone installed an antenna with this mount?
