keyless entry help!!!

Just purchased an 03 f250 sd crew cab with xlt v10 and leather. No keyless entry button. How do I know if the truck is equiped with keyless entry. Could an xlt not come so equipped? Thanks for the help in advance. Rob

Do you mean the keyless entry on the door or just a key fob?
An XLT can come with a key fob provided it has electric locks. If you can find a fob lying around(wife-g/f has a ford or a friend), take it out to your truck and follow the directions in the owners manual as to how to program it. If it programs and then activates the locks, you are good to go. You will have to reprogram it back the the vehicle it did operate after your test.

Thanks, harleyrider. I mean't the key fob. I read the owners manual. Just didn't know if I could use just any truck remote to reprogram. I will try tonight. Rob

Keyless was an option for XLT's. I believe standard with Lariats.

BTW If you're thinking about the physical keypad you have to pop the innner liner and look in the door near the handle and see if there is a six pin round connector.
