2006 F-350 test drive

My dad just bought a F-1350 crew cab Larriet long box dually with the 6.0 automatic 410 rear diff. This truck replaced a 2002 7.3 power stroke automatic F-350 Short box 373 rear diff,

Fith wheal is arround 12000 to 14000 pounds, four pop outs 35 FT long ( I'm not sure but it has three axles)

The 2002 F-350 towed the trailer with out a problem, But beacuse of the short box, The fith wheel liked to boss around the truck in cross winds, braking, ect.

The 2006 with the same trailer, you hardly notice thier is a trailer behind you... I hate driving trucks with 5th wheel trailers, I do not have the calmness to poliet all most 25,000 pounds of truck with trialer and not smash every little car and little truck off the road in a Mad Max rage.

With the 06 F-350 6.0, this truck is quick when towing my parents fith wheel, It is deceptive when you check your speed, kinda scary cause the truck exhibits no road noise ( accept for the 6.0, ego boaster )

Odd that Ford put 245 70 17 tires on this truck, ( Contanentals I doubt thier any good ) maybee smaller tires increase tow rattings.

This truck rocks, you can all most put a full size sofa behind the drivers seat, instermintation needs improvement, forget abought watching the turbo boast and the road at the same time, but thats why thiers the pod clusters.

If you are even considering towing 5th wheel trailers, over 8, 500 lbs, get a power stroke with a long box...My 04 F-150 tows great...But it aint no power stroke...

I'm guessing with a F-1350, you could tow half a city block!

Once you go diesel for towing, gassers just don't do it anymore.

you think that's hugh, try driving a long wheel based semi pulling a 53' trailer sometime or even a set of trains for that matter.
