The first thing to do is do an open air intake on it. I would go with a Tymar style which can be made at home for $40 worth of parts from Napa or an AFE intake. After that have him get a turbo back exhaust kit. a 3.5" down pipe will help him keep the low end power, but it won't have quite as low an EGT as a 4". Though the EGT difference between the 2 isn't that big. I'll probably go to a 3.5" from my 4" at some point. From there back you'll want 4". Its up to him if he wants stainless steel or not. Theres not really that much price difference anymore, but if you live in an area with alot of road salts I'd go with SS. After he's got that he can do a chip. I'd go with a DP-Tuner (www.dp-tuner.com). Call Jody and tell him what you've got and what you want to do and he'll help you decide what programs would be best for you. He's got some economy programs that are going into the low 20s for mpgs. He's also got some pretty high hp ones as well. I'll be going with him and dumping all my Edge stuff soon hopefully. Depending what he thinks I'll probably end up with his 160hp program since I'll have a turbo to burn the fuel. Unfortunetly your boss won't so he's limited to the 120hp and lower. Above and beyond that he's talking some more serious money to get the power goodies like $2500+ injectors, $1600+ turbos, head studs, connecting rods, $2000 high pressure oil pumps, etc.

Also the FIRST thing to do is install gauges. exhaust gas temp is a must too keep the engine from turning into a giant moltan blob. If it is a slushbox, a tranny temp gauge is a must to keep that from turning into a moltan blob. Throw in a boost gauge to see what is goin on there too.
