2007 is the major change?

I did a search and had no luck. I believe the SD line will have a major change in 2007?

I had previously read that a F450 will become part of the F250/F350 SD line with that change?

Anyone ?

Yes, the 07 SD is slated for a complete redo. It is also going to get the new 6.4L twin turbo PSD engine. If I was you I would stay a long way away from the 07 trucks. Remember back in 03 when the 6.0L trucks came out and all the problems they had. ANY, and I mean ANY new piece of equipment that comes out will have problems, and in this case Ford is rushing this one to market pretty quick. I would not be suprised at all to see alot of bugs show up in the field. I work in product development for one of the largest ag equipment companies in the US and we have rushed a few things to market that IMO could have stayed in development for a little while longer. If you're looking at a new truck then get an 06. Most of the big problems with the 6.0L is worked out now, then look again maybe in 09 after they've had a couple years to shake things down. Trust me, I speak from experience on the mfg end of this.

The 6.4 will be very closely related to the 6.0, so I'm not that worried, and will be taking a very close look.

^^^ yes.
It is redesigned for emissions. I talked to some truck shop diesel mechs and they have been trained on the 6.4 They hate the 6.0 and all the problems they have. Even though its a twin turbo it basically has only one is in operation at a time. the smaller one for lower rpms and the bigger for higher rpms and boost needs.
Also hopefully the 4.3 v6 diesel will be released in more numbers. It is out there now in RV applications.

Also Chevy might be getting the smaller cat/Perkins diesel engine as an option

You can get a pickup bed on an F450/550
Units built at Kentucky Truck Plant can be shipped next door to Manning Equipment for a pickup bed, then shipped to dealer. If you want one,
please contact me for specifics. I get about five of these a year.

Yes.

I want the bed installed by Ford and titled and tagged as a private passenger pickup (ppp).

In my State (GA), there is some confusion on whether or not the current F450 is a ppp. If not, it requires an expensive commercial insurance policy, an expensive tag and taxes, and a CDL.

I am not interested in the oil engine. I'll just get the V10.

That's exactly why you should be worried. 6.4 is a bored out 6.0. Different fuel system and stuff though.
