Need Xcalibrator help - Truck won't start

SCT's instructions really suck, but I was able to find a couple of tutorials from a performance company on how to use the Xtreme software so I was muddling through it this weekend. I was able to load 3 tunes on the Xcalibrator. I took it out to the truck, selected a tune, held the program button until the LEDS started flashing then put the key on. Everything looked like it was working correctly. It read the factory program, then flashed with the selected program. After everything was done, I shut the key off, pulled the Xcalibrator plug and tried to start the truck. No start. I then loaded the factory program back into the truck, and still no start. It doesn't even try to crank. I tried every combination I could think of, then I disconnected the battery and still no start.

I don't know what to do now.

Try disconnecting the battery ground for AT LEAST 30 min. Think its something to do with the theft system.

With the SVT Focus you have to pull 2 fuses while loading a tune, could the Lightnings be the same?

Actually I am using this on my '05 F250PSD, but I figured this is one of the best places to go for information...to the Lightning brothers and sisters. My truck doesn't have the PATS system, and I haven't seen anything about pulling fuses (although I did see that on one of the Foci forums).

I know with the 9100 on a Lightning, you have to pull the fuel pump fuse, make sure nothing electronic is in use, and if it wont start afterwards, you have to disconnect the battery ground for at least 30 min.

No. I even got a virgin Ford flash from a service CD and the truck wouldn't take it. SCT thinks there may be a problem with the Xcalibrator. A problem is that I can't do anything with it while I am at work, and I can't work from home at all this week so I am stuck without a truck.

Those wheels really do look great on your truck

Thanks

Maybe you can borrow someone's HD or something... but you might break that too with your magic touch.

Update, I cashed in a big favor with a friend of mine who cashed in one somewhere else. The PCM was blanked and we had to reload the software for all of the modules. The truck is up and running.

Not sure why you would have to do that, but glad it's working again.

I'm down in MD this week. I sent you an email at work (I think) and your personal one....
