im going to buy a 2002 f-250 today trading in my 1998 f-150 but have a few questions. would i be able to transfer my soft tonneau cover from an f-150 to an f-250????? also can i switch my aftermarket rims and tires with my fathers 200 truck, only diff is he has 17 inch rims i have 16???????

 

I don't thicnk you can switch the tonneau cover.
I sometimes use a camper shell my Dad has the fits his 2002 F350 on my 2000 F150 - it fits, but not very well.

What type of truck does your Dad have? If it's an F150, then you should be able to swap them.

 

I can gaurantee that your tonneau won't fit, the SD beds are wider than the F150s. The wheels will not transfer from F150 to F250, but they will go from 150 to 150 or 250 to 250.

 

see i wasnt sure cause his truck is a 2000 mine is a 98 didnt know if bolt pattern was different plus i have 16 inch rims he has the factory 17 inch on his truck didnt know if the calipers woulod clear with a smaller rim??????????????????

 

No go on the cover. The superdutys actually are tapered from front to back a little bit. The superdutys also have 8 lug wheels so no chance for a rim swap there.
