what should I look out for and what usually takes a dump on the trans? I know the Superdutys have trans trouble alot and im just curious.

Its a 2001 Black Extended cab, 2WD, Power DL, Windows. It has a 124,000 on it and hes asking 15,500 at the dealer, is this a good deal? I think I might be able to get him lower

 

Its too hard to tell if it is a good deal from the info provided. Price varies from one area to another, do some comparison shopping. I personally stay away from dealers. 01 did have a trans problem with the solenoids. I would not worry about 124k, but rather how it was used and maintained. Thanks, Ill check it out. There is no hitch on it, so I dont think it was used to tow with.

 

Was there a hitch at one time, and then taken off? That is how it was with my truck. You might be able to tell by looking under the back of the truck.

 

i have a tranny leak....only when its parked on a slant to the left...i've determined its coming from where the dipstick tube goes into the transmission...i keep an eye on the level...when it gets warm i'll deal with it...zap!
