Post great choice on the 250ld/7700

i have a 1998 250 light duty and i love it, i was also thinking about the 285's on my truck with stock or with some nice AR rims. The suspension isnt too bad, way better than the 150 ORP. congradulations.

Thumbs up

I see you've got the 4.6 engine. I had a 97 with that engine. Really a good running engine but it needs some "EXTRA" help, if you know what I mean. I added the Superchip to mine and it made a world of difference. Before adding anything that's gonna put more strain on the engine, add that chip to it. And also think about doing a muffler change.

Can anyone tell me what the clearance would be like on an F250LD 2wheel-drive, with no lifting, with 265/75/16 and 285/75/16 tires on the stock rims. The *265 would be a 31.5" dia. tire and the *285 would be a 33" dia. tire. I can figure the gearing loss but I don't know what will fit-has anyone tried these on a 2wd?
