Post v10 will not idle

I had the truck in the shop in 3 times for the same problem. it would not run after the key was released, started fine but no idle. they replaced the idle sensor all 3 times. does anybody know if ford is going to fix this problem? because my warrenty just expired and I dont want to take it back again if it fails. I want the problem fixed for good.

Many places warranty their work for 12 months. Call your service dept and ask them what their policy is.

Has anyone looked at your idle air control valve? This will not show any codes when malfunctioning. Quick test, when idle problem occurs tap on IACV with wrench, you will hear internal acutuation w/in iacv, then truck will idle fine. It is located on passenger side of throttle body and has 2 wires and hose from pcv connected. Looks like shiny D-cell battery. Good Luck

hh37, I`m sorry the part I was talking about is the idle air control valve. and they replaced it 3 times. I had a buddy who had his replaced 8 times and he had ford buy the truck back( after his lawyer filed a law suite ) it took the shop forever to just fix it the first time because it is intermittent problem.

A bad Mass Airflow Sensor maybe? Or maybe it is just unplugged.

I had to have my idle air control valve replaced. I understand what it does but, I'm kinda puzzled on something about it. If you follow the throttle bypass hose from the idle air control vavle, it goes to the back of the engine and looks like it connects to something else and then it comes back around and plugs into the air intake right after the air filter. Go ahead and unplug that hose and try to start the truck. It will start and die. I don't understand why it has to be plugged into the air filter housing inorder for it to work. Maybe you have a cracked hose or something.
