Please give me your opinon -
I have a 1999 F-250 ext cab 4x4 with 4.6L and a 5 speed tranny...the owners manual says I should only tow 2100 to 2700 lbs... Replys to questions on this site and on the Ford newsgroups I read they say it's because of the tranny ... OK I can buy that but do you see any harm pulling a 3300 to 3500 lb trailer 2 or 3 times a year?
Is Ford just being safe or could I mess something up ?
After this I will never ask another towing question !!!!!
Thank's
Dennis
