Post Highest riding truck

I'm looking to trade in my F-150 on a SuperDuty. I really like the F-150 because it is a great truck and it seems to sit higher than the rest. I have the 17" wheels with 265-70r tires. I now need something that is heavier duty and I want to get the highest sitting super duty. I need an F-250 or 350 size truck.

Thumbs up

Drive your truck over to the Ford place and park it next to the Superdutys. You can then easyly see which ones are taller than your truck. Most likely it will be the F350 4x4, which by the way, will cost very little more than an F250 4x4.

I know the Super Duty sits higher than my F-150, I just wanted to know what the highest sitting superduty is. I'm guessing it's the F-350? Or are the F-250 and 350 the same height?

I think it depends on where you measure. They are, I believe, the same height in the front. However, the F350 has 4" spacer blocks on the rear while the F250 has 2" spacers.

F250s sit level, F350s sit "slanted". There are some rather inexpensive kits that will level the F350- making it sit "higher" overall.

The real determining factor is the package chosen. Each pkg (plow/camper/HD) comes with springs (front &/or rear) that will affect height. As most of the pkgs are mutually exclusive, you'll just have to compare them at the dealership.

Find one (250 & 350) that you like and park them next to each other. Pick the one that suits you best.

I think most of them are fairly similar in height. Diferences would only be an inch or two, which is all fairly minor.

Why do you need the highest one? The axle and dif are going to give you the same clearance regardless of the height of the roof! Tire selection is the only thing that will change that.

Cool

I want the highest riding truck so I don't have any Dodges towering over me!
I was just wondering if there was a big difference in height between the 250 and 350. I also want the highest truck because it's so d*mn hard seeing over these huge snow piles here in NY!

Cool

You could always try test driving the F250 or F350 over to the Dodge place and making sure it's tall enough
