4x4 problems
Truck: 1999 F250 Superduty Ext. Cab XLT shortbed 4x4 with the V10
It's got the switch on the dash "shift on the fly" 4x4. With it in 2 wheel drive and the 4x4 light is off for some reason it's staying in 4 wheel drive (backing up won't release it). Seems like it may even be just the front right staying engaged but at any rate the 4x4 is staying engaged. The truck only has about 70,000 miles on it. It's a farm truck and see's a decent amount of mud thru the lots. Any ideas why it's doing this? I'm also getting vibration in the floorboard at highway speeds. Any thoughts on that, too?

Be careful, and actually I wuldn't drive it long on the road like that.
It's probably the vaccuum pump. Cna't help with where to find it or how to test, but if you haven't found the problem yet, I'd start with that.
