Question Noise in rear

I drive in and out of Manhattan every day,the roads are pretty bad.My back door seems to rattle and its getting worse ,yet everything seems tight when I checked back there.I used to have an 89' Mustang G.T.,that used to make noise also from the hatch. Is this just a common problem because of the one latch that seems to hold the door closed?

The weatherstrip around the hatch might be loose or worn.

If it sounds like a pretty solid rattle, or clunk coming from the rear, see if it's the left rear. Upper shock bolts seem to be an issue for many people.

I didn't have anmy problem with my stock shocks but I installed shocks and after about 6 months I started with it. That bolt is a PITA to get to. Took me almost a year to figure out that was it. It just didn't seem loose but it was, just a tad.

By the way, this was post number 1800 for me. Gee, where's the party?
