Thumbs down Dealer Tech brags about doing 140 in CUSTOMERS 03 Cobra.

Tech takes out 03 Cobra for a ride doing 140mph, brags about it online and even gives out customers Vanity Plates.
So off course the customer finds out.

And they wonder why owners complain about taking their baby to the stealership. It's bad enough to get ripped off on service, but if I ever find a 'punk' roddin my ride like that he would be happy if it only got him fired.

And to think he is on a site where owners who love their Mustangs hang out.

I am very surprised (Edit: AND disappointed) that at least one of them didn't 'Flame' him for it.

Makes me wonder which is worse, the adolecent idiot 'stealership' tech or the other online members who failed to Flame him in defence of a owners precious ride.

140 on a public road. Brilliant. Let's see if I can recall an old math formula: 1 Mustang + 2 dummies + 140 MPH / 1 big tree = 2 puddles that will have to be shoveled into the back of an ambulance.

I read the post as well. I printed it off. I plan on taking it to every dealership or service shop that my truck may visit. I want to show them that it does happen and poeple will find out. AND that I don't want it done to my baby.

Let's not get rediculous on this. I truly believe that the idiot mechanic should be canned, but to think this is typical that goes on at dealerships, isn't even close to being reality. My dad worked at a dealership for over 25 years before opening his own shop and they prided themselves on the quality service that was provided. I get a little tired of people acting like every dealer and mechanic are out to screw the customer over. There are crooks in every profession, but the majority are decent, hardworking, quality people just trying to make a living.

I agree, I am still miffed at the lack of Flames thrown at this jerk by those that replied to his post on what I would imagine to be a web site freqented by very devoted bunch of Mustang owners.

Could you imagine a Ford tech posting a similar thread in the Lightning forum about his joy ride in one of their truck . . . maybe Beefcakes Red L for example?

That reminds me, back in '96, I had a F150 Lariat sc swb 4x4.
4"superlift, 3" body, 4,56 gears, 35"BFG MT's on Alcoas, motor was massaged to around 300hp, I detonated the rear end. Put in another at the Ford dealer, went to pick it up, someone spun the rear tires against some yellow stops, the rear treads were all yellow.
I friggin wigged right out on the shop manager, the guy who drove the truck said he rolled it to the spot, never even fired it up. Pretty impressive considering it was an AUTO.
Was the bosses son, didn't lose his job but daddy took away his 410bhp 'stang demo (was/still is a SVT dealer). and was demoted back to washing cars.

"Pretty impressive considering it was an AUTO."

Am I missing something here? What does the truck being an AUTO have to do with being able to roll it to an area without firing it up? An auto can easily be rolled without being started.

mY '95 F150 would not shift out of "park" unless the ignition was turned, he said he didn't have the keys so he rolled it back. Sorry for confusion!
