Expy factory window tint?

Is there any tint in the front side windows? They looked slightly colored looking out at the sunlight.

What kind of tint film on the front sides will match the rest of the windows?

I don't know that much about the different brands or shades, but I have 20% on mine. They are very close to the factory tint in the back. The only bad thing about them is that they are illegal in MO. I've had them tinted for almost a year and have hot had any problems. I have a black Expo and it really makes a big difference in the appearance. Good luck!

Their may be a slight tint in the front windows, but not much. Different states have different laws regarding the tint that is allowed in the front driver and passenger door. The tint shops should know the regulation for your state. It's typically around 30-35%. You can go darker, but risk being pulled over and getting a ticket, and then you would have to remove your tint.

I am not a tint expert, but the windows do not appear to have a film on them. Think of the windows as a pair of glasses. The do not have a film on them, but the glass is made with a slight tint to them. This is something to keep in mind if you are going to get a window tint.

In TX, you can only have 35% blackout. I was pulled over (not in my Exy.) and the cop had this device that he put on the window. It measured how dark the tint was. I had gotten the most I could get (35%), but still got a ticket. Audi had put a slight tint to the windows. Adding that with the 35% film, I was over the legal limit (butt for a cop!)

Hope this helps.

I put 35% on the fronts, probably total with factory tint, they are maybe 30%, not quite as dark as the rear, but they look great.

I went to a reputable dealer who had a list (by state) of legal percentages. Had the front done along with a 5" bar across the windshield. Many people believe that the tint in the back is also a thermal tint, not so, only privacy. Metal tint holds up better. Also, was told you can get a clear thermal tint for the windshield, checking that one out.

15% is a perfect match. Like the other guys said, if your state is strict on tint go with 30% or you could sneak by with 25%.

I went with 5% all the way around. I've been pulled over and wasn't told anything about the window tint.

5% is way to dark for the front windows. If you don't eventually get a ticket, you are opening yourself up for an accident as that dark of tint at night really limits your vision. It's a hazard waiting to happen. You might want to reconsider and get a more reasonable tint.

I've been driving around with 5% ting all the way around since I got my mustang for around 5 year's ago. I did get pulled over once with my old Gt. I had to take the tint off, go to the Motor Vehicle Association to get the window's tested then had to go to Super Track to buy some more 5% tint. The only time visibility is poor is when driving in fog but visibility is poor in fog no matter what.
