dont know how but it is back to normal again. i am avg. 14.5 mpg on hwy and 12.9 in city.

this is exactly what it was before the wheels.
i knew that the 21mpg was not what i was getting but i figured it would be showing less having smaller tires.

oh well.

But keep this in mind, for every true mile you travel, you're actually registering on your odometer more milage. Whether it's 1.1 mile, that just means that every 10 miles you're "aging" your truck by an extra mile. For every true 100 miles you drive, you're odometer will show 110 miles. And so on.

By the way, the helium thing really does work!! It took 2 tries but after trying it in my Expy's front tires, (I did the fronts only just as a test) I had to "bounce" the front end a little to get them up and actually got about an 8 foot wheelie on the 3rd try! I wanted to try it again and video it today with the pressure up a little more (try for 10 feet), but it's been raining and I didn't like the idea of driving my Expy at WOT off the line with no steering control. It's supposed to be nicer this weekend so maybe I'll try again. Oh, but there's a down side. It only lasts about 1 1/2 days before the front of the truck is drooping on the ground so you have to refill and if you're not carefull filling them up and you drive off quickly, the truck sounds all squeeky like a Mickey Mouse cartoon car. Talk about getting weird looks but at least it starts fading within about 2 minutes!

BS ALERT!!!!! You are so full of BS!!

To get that kind of height, you'd have to use hydrogen! For 10 feet, you'd have to use a mix of 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen. Add one lit match and stand back.

i beileve is the conditions were just right that helium alone would get close to 10 ft. however i would suggest a wheelie bar if you are trying for 10 ft.

aside from all the B.S though for just a moment i seriously had a lawnmower that would flip over backward.
a friend and i took the blade off and got a shorter belt and tied a string to the throttle and instead of hitting the gas you pull the string.we also ran it off of pure brake parts cleaner and took off the exhaust.

well when you barely pulled the string it would sputter along normal and shoot fire out the side.

however if you pulled the string as hard as you could the lawnmower would flip over.

I am being serious on this too. i am not BSing, trying to be funny or anything. i may still have a video of it. i doubt i do but i will check all my tapes to make sure and i will try and post it.

good luck with the 10 footer though.

Oh come on, you guys didn't actually think I meant 8 feet high do you? I meant 8 feet running. My god, I don't think the wheels came more than 10 inches off the ground, but for 8 feet?

Chevys do it

When I was in high school I worked for a lighting store that had a half ton Chevy Van with really crappy shocks on the front. If I timed the throttle blips just right, from a dead stop, I could blip the gas, get the springs to unload and then when the weight came back down and compressed the springs I could blip the throttle again and after a few cycles get the front of the truck to come about 6" to 8" off of the ground. No bu11****. I would go to the parking lot after school and all my friends in football practice (including the coach) would be on the ground laughing their a$$es off.

MisterP, I believe you. Those vans can do it. The worse condition the better!

No way Jose...

13mpg to over 20 with wheels?! Seems too good to be true. Is there a hill going down to your father's office...any chance that you coasted down that hill?

If it was a joke why were you arguing with people saying that your new wheels and tires were the same height? Just admit that you posted before you thought it out and be done with it.

Oh come on lighten up guys. He posted something, got feedback and learned why he saw what he saw. Isn't that what the site is all about? Oh, and I made some humor too.

Yeah gents lighten up. Hey at the very least the kid made me do some math. BTW Maui was great. There a load of F150's but very few Expys. Gas was a $1.89. Up here in the Pacific Northwest our gas is only $1.03 at Chevron. I did see a nice silver lightning at Honolulu airport when we were taxi-ing in.
