I know it's not in production, but do any of you have pictures or good sources of information about the SVT Thunder? I know that ford's SVT site has a tiny bit of information about it, but I am looking for more... like a link to a "car and driver" magazine that ran tests on it or somthing like that... more photos and more info. post if you know of somthing good to read. thanks.

It's never been produced so no, no one has done any reviews of it. What little is on the SVT site is all you're probably going to find.

ummm i think i have a picture of it hold on just a second..... gotta check the SVT website...ok well go to the SVT website.... its www.svt.ford.com and click on concept lab at the top and there should be a link to the thunder right there but its only got one picture. i dont know if you have seen it or not.

 

On ford.svt.com on the Thunder it says it isn't going to be produced??

i have read in many magazines that it is going to be produced.

 

Motor Trend and also Truck Trends did a write up on it. Performance was almost identical to the Lightning. Looked real sharp. I'd love to order one today with all-wheel or at least a four-wheel drive. I like to ski in the mountains and two-wheel with that much power is not a good combo!!!!

 

Where are you all seeing the articles saying the Expedition "Thunder" will be produced? And in what issues? I'd like to read it for myself......

 

Thunder Expedition is in Truck Trend in the Dec. 2000 issue. And it sure would be a nice Christmas present!!!!! Motor Trend also did a write-up on it a couple months later but it seemed like an abbreviated version of Truck Trends article.
