Hello Fellow Expedition owners, I would love to know where you guys have your amplifiers placed in your Expy's! I currently have both of mine in the rear passenger side fire-wall where the cargo net/pocket was ... Where are yours?

I have two, both are located inside the plastic that covers the wheel well hump. The stereo installer put them there, I asked about problems with heat but he assured me that they would be fine. It's nice because you can't see them to steal them but you
can sure hear them.

I placed mine underneath the third-row seat. Not the best solution if you need the cargo space, but I had few options, as the amps are rather large.

 

I took out the third seat, built a subfloor in the back. I have four amps, the EQ, and all the other mess back there. Two subs are built into the paneling where the jack was located. You have no clue anything is back there

I'm upgrading my system now and would love to see some pictures of your rides. Do you have any digital pics. for a big car space sure is limited for stealth installs. I love the idea of the false floor.

 

hello, my amp is mounted under the front passenger seat

 

I got 2 amps mounted in the back right behind the plastic. Was able to leave the jack. Also have a removable sub box that fits between third seat and gate. To compensate for base when sub is not in I put a 6 1/2 mid-bass in each door. I lost the map pockets in front and put them in stock location in rear. I have a 4x6 plate at the bottom of each rear door but I have to do something about aiming them higher and rebuild the bottom of the door somehow. I looked into removing the rear A/C to install the sub behind the plastic but the installer had no sense of imagination and made a big deal of it. I may do it myself at a later date.
