Ford Dispute Settlement Board-Anybody used one??
I used the DSB process to get rid of a '99 Cobra that started having HUGE problems at 11,000 Miles. You need to send EVERYTHING to them Certified Mail - Return Receipt. If your case is heard and you are judged to be due compensation (ie. they take the car back) you get a fair deal... They refunded me ALL payments (including interest) minus $0.16 per mile usage charge.....
Remember they are on your side, lambasting them with your story won't help you in the least. I called about once a week, talked with the person assigned to my case and kept everything professional. To them it's a business transaction not a personal matter. Everything went great that way... the lady made a mess of calls on my behalf and actually got me my check when promised... Also chewed out my Regional Service Rep for providing such lousy customer service...
Good Luck

EXPYBOY,
Thanks for your info. How long was the process from when you first applied? Also, do you know if the only compensation is to take back a vehicle -an 'all or none' type thing? Also, a factory Rep. only looked at our Expy once and he referred us to the DSB process. Does that mean that they will take our case?
I realize you may or may know these things, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask! Thanks a lot.

ps I see you're from Stafford, my dad teaches elementary school there. I grew up in Culpeper, VA

The DSB process in my case allowed for a replacement vehicle or full refund... The replacement was not an option as Ford was not producing Cobra's at the time... We took the refund (including interest paid) and bout a new GT (fully financed) and went shopping..... The DSB decides on a case by case basis whether or not to accept a case... Remember to send EVERYTHING certified ... The process once the DSB got involved was about a month... The whole thing 6 months... Our regional service rep was learning on the job......
Hope this helps
