'07 Expedition reverse sensor calibration?

I have a 2007 Expedition XLT whose reverse sensors appear to be out of calibration. I can back up to any solid object, Jersey wall, another vehicle, etc, and it will beep as if I'm far away. Unfortunately, this is lead to my wife backing into things. I also have a 2005 F150 XLT, and never had an issue with the reverse sensors.

Is there any way to check and/or fix the calibration?

Thanks in advance!

The 07-09 Expeditions use a single sonar sensor behind the middle of the rear bumper ( just above the trailer hitch ) It's a black rectangular piece about 3"x12". Check to make sure its not damaged or obstructed. It may be damaged if your wife has backed into anything. I've seen where people have put bumper stickers partially covering it and it caused problems.
