05 Expedition

Hey guys. My mom is comtemplating getting a more fuel efficient car, and my f250 has 193,000 miles, so I may be getting the expedition. If I do I'm going to want to treat it just like a truck and go the offroad route(slight lift, tires, ect).

What mods do you guys recommend, and what are the largest size tires that fit stock suspension?

Thanks a lot.

The OEM tires are 32 inches tall (265/70-17) so 33's fit easily. I believe Daystar and Autospring and a few other companies make spacers that lift the trucks 2.5 inches. I'd go with them and a set of 33 inch tires on some aftermarket wheels.

Thanks. How wide are the OEM rims if I decide to stick with them? And would going from these to a 285-70-17 MT kill my mileage?

Rancho does the quicklift, which is a pricey way to go for a little lift. I'm running 265/65/18s and there has been no issues on the stock suspension.

Alright. Upgraded to the Quicklift, which is a 1.25" lift. I now run 295 70 18s (like a 34, or what some would call a small 35). I rub a pinch on the sway bar on full lock, but hasn't really been an issue.
