I bought my wife a brand new 2011 expediton back in2010, so i dont drive it much. It snowed the other day and i was using the 4wd. It works fine, but when i take sharp turns, the front end pops. is this normal? I have just never felt this before.

 

Sharp turns will cause a vehicle kinda jerk and hop when in 4wd. Mine also does this. In the front both wheels are locked in pretty much the same way a true rear locking differential would be. True lockers don't corner well as the wheels try to fight each other making sharp turns.

 

It will so this especially on dry pavement....

 

Ok good. I have just never noticed it on any of my trucks
