My 2002 Lincoln Navigator

well just yesterday i bought me a 2002 Lincoln Navigator with 102,XXXmiles on it. And i have to say i really like it more then my expedition! Its got the 32Valve 5.4 intech and MAN this things fast... here some pic's...

I love it feels so MUCH powerful compared to my 98 expo and a whole lot faster! and scene i got it on the 10 of march im getting 15mpg and climbing and its stock! why didnt ford stick this engine in all there pick ups and suv vehicles beside the diesels, im very impressed but like most old vehicles dose have some missing length :\

1.being that this truck is old, it has a vhs install, and dosnt turn on dose anybody have any idea how to take it apart? or off the roof? i want to swap to a Dvd and the LCD TV dosnt turn on either
2. doesn't have heated seats, but couldn't i just swap out these seats with the ones that had that option? Plug and play? or would i have to rewire?
3.i was reading the manual, and these truck had the power folding option, what would i need to do to convert my manual fold to power fold?
4.last but not least, this truck still has the original airbags system, so how often should the compressor turn on? 2 time a day so far...

these are just minor problems but i like my vehicle option to work like oem

can i borrow your engine for a little while? Ill promise to put something back in the engine bay for you so you can still drive it around

but seriously, would you mind doing a couple things for me? How tall is the opening for the display in the dash above the radio? Also could you take a better picture of the top of the dash behind the passenger air bag?

03-04 Navi's had a single cam 5.4. Thats probably why, although there are probably some other variables along that as well. Gearing 3.73 or even maybe 3.55?

yah i guess thats a clock, above the radio on the top of the dash in the middle, what are the approx dimensions of that opening? small triangle shaped opening, what about 4" long and 1.5" tall?

and yes a few pics of the top of the dash behind the passenger airbag would be awesome!

well after driving around i noticed my air suspension goes down every time i turn it off and the compressor turns on every time the truck is on too, but dose it supposed to sound like an airhammer? i think it need the bushings, dose anybody know how to get up under the compressor? i know its in the passenger side front but not really know how to get up under it?

I think its normal to go down a little when you shut it off. my 96 towncar does the same thing. you can shut it off and get out and see the rear drop about a inch or so and it stop. My compressor comes on everytime i start the car but doesnt stay on for more than 5-10 seconds. Check lincolnsonline.com they are some pretty smart guys on lincoln over there.

On my 2000 navigator you have to take the windsheild washer tank out to access the air suspension pump. the air ride on these can be a pain sometimes, and yeah they seem really fast for there size the awd adds to that , thats the first thing i noticed .
