1997 Exp motor change
I have a 1997 Expedition xlt 4.6 the motor is bad but I have a 2001 mustang 4.6 motor I want to put in but it looks like the intake ports are different on the heads can I swap out the heads and will the valve clearance be a issue???

The Mustang engine has PI heads, which stands for power improved. All '99 up 2v mod motors have them, they make a little more power. I'd try to find a '99-'03 truck intake to run on the Mustang engine, then swap all the accessories & wiring harness from the truck engine to the Mustang engine.
