I have seen many people put the navigator front assembly on their f150s but is it possible to put the lightning front assembly on the navigator.
i really just want the bumper.

I had the Lightning front end put on my 97 Expedition. So I would assume it can be done to a Navigator as well, especially if you just want the bumper.. I had bumper, facia and grilles done.

 

About the lightning bumper on your '97 Expedition... Where did you get that done and how much did it cost? I want to do that to my 2000, but I dunno whether Ford can do this or do I need to go to a body shop & have them order the parts and do the work?

Ok the lightning bumper is very expensive from ford. They want $400 for it . Thats unpainted and just like a plastic mold. All lightning bumper covers are made to fit 99-02 Expeditions and F150s. If you have a 97-98 you will need a new bumper from a 99 or up. I have a 1998 F150 that I plan on converting. I dont want to pay the extra money for a 99 up bumper so when the time comes I will try to make it fit on the 98. The cheapest place that has the lightning bumper covers for sale is Http://www.fordpartsonline.com . They want $254.95 for the bumper + shipping. It is also un painted and the brackets are not included. I have never heard of anyone trying to put one on a Navi so I dont know if it is possible. I hope that helps.

 

And also, why would you want to put that bumper on a Navigator? It already has one that looks good. Adding the lightning bumper on a Navigator is like putting Type R decals on my Expedition. It just wont make sense.
