It depends on what fits you. Darango the best, don't think so. Too small for seven or eight people, but it has great towing capabilities I agree for it's size. My X is the right size for me and Will carry eight people with room and comfort, and fit in my garage with my two motorcycles, bench, tool boxes, bike lift, and storage compartments in front of the X. Two car Garage. Not to flame or start a war, just people's preference on whats right for them.

But nothing beats the navigator for comfort, Just bought a 2000, and it fits in the garage next to the 2000 Grand Prix GT coupe.

And the tool boxes, workbench, fridge, freezer, and lawn tools.

We did test drive a durango, and they are great as a truck, but the luxury is not there IMHO, The navi is used to drive around clients and luxury it is necessary.

GTP_rules, what fuel milage do you get with the 5.9L Durango?

nomo, what fuel milage do you get from the 4.6L Expy?

I like the idea of the mid-size Durango but heard they get low (i.e. 10) mpg.

Our last long highway trip from OK to VA saw mileage from 18-20 mpg running max A/C at 70+ mph. The X was loaded for a week's trip and included a lot of tools, parts, fluids & stuff for off-roading.

I'd think 10 is low for the 5.9L engine. Heck, my SD w/V10 gets 11 mpg and it only has 700 miles on it!
