Question How much did you pay for that Expy?

I am considering purchasing one and would like to know how much they REALLY cost.
Basically the same topic as the one in "truck costs" except for Expy instead of F150.

We got ours under invoice, yep sure did. We had been looking for Expeditions and the salesman quoted a price on one lower than what they paid for it, so they had to sell it for that. It was only under by a few hundred dollars and the 99 models were out and this was a 98, so they probally didn't mind getting it out the door. I think it was around the 28K mark after taxes. 4.6 towing package, rear air,3rd seat, rear air, air suspension, running boards, roof rack.

I'm doing the X plan too, and it came out to about 28,500 plus TTL. Dealer told me that they will order for non-X plan custs for 195 over invoice. Ones on the lot were about 200-500 over invoice.

Hey BigFoot,

That X-plan is sweet! We just traded my wife's 97 for a '00 EB 4x4. List was $41,150 and we got it for $35,800. I love the 4x4, her 97 was 4x2. I ordered a set of Edelbrock shocks from Roger at the online store here today for the Exped. Looking forward to installing them this weekend. We had a set of Bilsteins on her 97, they work pretty good. I have heard alot of good things about Edelbrock and wanted to try a set. I am really more anxious to get them for my truck (99 Lightning) but they are not making that application yet.

Later

Cool

54regcab,

It was offered to me through my work. (We supply Ford with parts). I had to call an 800 number and register with them for the X plan. When I was finished they gave me a pin number.

Went to my Ford dealer and picked out a vehicle, told them I was X plan.

Then they showed me the invoice on the Expy.

Looked on the invoice for A plan (employee price) and add 4 % to that and that's your price. Gave them my pin number and had No bickering or no bull.

It still worked out under invoice on the Expy by a little bit.

Even though I don't own one:

My friends dad bought a demo:

1997 Expedition XLT 4x4, 4.6L auto,

only options were the buckets, shift on the fly 4x4, cold climate package, tinted windows, steps, tranny cooler and 3:55LS

had basic chrome wheels, no trailer package and had 10k for 31000.

I am just not sure whether I got a good price. I am living overseas, but I am a contractor for the government so I get so cool benefits. I ordered the 2000 Exp. EB. My final price was $38,452 this is without the shipping that cost to ship it over her. (500 over invoice.)

These are the options I got:
68P: Four Corner Load Leveling Supension
535: Class III Trailer Towing Group
67A: Side Air Bags
21B: Second Row Leather Captain Seats
90H: Heated Seats
68P: Suspension, Four Corner Load Leveling
162: Rear Sensing System
413: Skid Plates
43M: Power Moon Roof
EB: EB Package Discount. (I am putting in my own sound system so I said take back that $450.00 CD player.)

With this I also get a extra 14,000 miles in my warranty (ie. 3 years /50,000 miles).

The dealer will match in stateside dealer, but it has to have all the same options.
It will be delivered 2/4/00.

Any thoughts did I get ripped? or Did I do ok?

I'll try to remember all my options:
99 XLT
4X4
skid plates
rear air
tow package
5.4l
17" wheels(chrome plastic)
cloth seat seat package 68A
roof rack
cd changer
tow hooks
fog lights
running boards
3.73 LLS
I think that's it. 32,600 without tax and license. 100 over invoice.

Hello All,

Just bought the wife a '00
XLT 4X2
5.4L
6 Disc CD
Sport Appearance(Painted bumpers and wheel trim and nerf bars instead of running board)
Comfort package(3rd seat and rear air)
MSRP 35,950
Was able to get it for $29,700
About 900 below invoice(Including destination)
Go to www.edmunds.com and know the invoice price of all of the packages and offer about $500 less. The worst they can do is say no!
Good Hunting!
