Hey Guys - not real sure where I should post this - but I have a question....
My Fiance is buying an 06 mountaineer from a small independent dealer - the truck only comes with 1 key - the dealer said that they would not be able to get us a new one - so we are on our own to get it..... I have called around and the best I can find is 30 for the key and 50-60 to program it - I have been told by some folks that if I get a key then I can program it myself - is this true? Or do any of ya'll have any other ideas for me? Please let me know -

You haev to have teh key programmed, either by Ford, or some one who has the proper machine. The only way you can do it yourself is if you already have two programmed keys.
